Abstract
The Act consists of 21 sections which are divided into 9 Parts: Preliminary (I); Fisheries Administration (II); Licensing of Local Fishing vessels (III); Foreign Fishing Vessels (IV); Prohibited Fishing Methods (V); Fish Processing Establishments (VI); Powers of authorized Officers (VII); Offences and Legal Proceedings (VIII); General (IX).
The Minister may by Order establish a Fisheries Advisory Committee (sect. 4) and may make regulations "as may seem to him expedient for carrying into effect any of the purposes or provisions of this Act" and those regulations may also provide for all matters as specified in section 20.
