Abstract
This Act provides for the establishment of the Industrial Development Corporation of Solomon Islands as a body corporate and defines its functions, powers and internal organization. The objective of the Corporation shall be to stimulate, facilitate and encourage the development of industries in Solomon Islands. The Corporation shall have a Board of Directors that shall finance industrial ventures and research, also in the field of ecofriendly processes and technology. The Board shall also assist in exportation of commercially viable goods. The Minister may give to the Board such directions of a general character as to the policy to be followed by the Board in the performance of its functions.
