Abstract
This Act provides for the ratification of the Mamara-Tasivarongo-Mavo Development Project Agreement, the establishment of the Mamara-Tasivarongo-Mavo Development Council, the disapplication of the Town and Country Planning Act to the development area and other matters related to development of the Mamara-Tasivarongo-Mavo area.
The development area consists of (agricultural) lands held by the Commissioner and includes any other parcels of land adjoining such land which the Developer may acquire from the Commissioner for the purposes of the Development. The Council shall consider the proposals submitted to the Minister by a specified developer under the Agreement. The Commissioner grants consent to the subdivision of the Development Area and shall grant consent to the transfer or lease of or other dealing in any state or interest in the Development Area by the Developer.
