Abstract
Killing or wounding of a wild bird, taking of eggs, exposing for sale of wild birds, or exporting of wild birds is declared to be an offence under section 3. “Wild birds” are all birds specified in the Schedules to this Ordinance. The High Commissioner may prescribe close seasons for hunting of wild birds under section 4. Hunting of birds or taking of eggs shall be an offence. Penalties are prescribed. The High Commissioner may declare any island or part of an island to be a sanctuary for birds (sect. 13). Killing of any birds or removal of birds or eggs in a sanctuary is declared to be an offence.
