Agency for Social Protection Act. (Act 25 of 2011).

This Act, which is composed by 8 Parts, establishes an Agency for Social Protection, the objects of which is to ensure efficient and effective management, administration and payment of social assistance. Among its functions, detailed in Part 2, are the administration of social assistance, payment of benefits, collection, administration and analysis of information etc.
The Act then introduces the Board of the Agency, its composition, management, procedures (Part 3) before describing the procedure for the application for social assistance (Part 4), the criteria for the issue of social welfare allowances (Part 4) and the submission to the Review Panel of a request of revision of any decision of the Agency. The composition of the Review Panel as well as its proceedings (Part 5).
Part 6 covers the administration and finance issues and so the funding of the Agency, its accounts, its annual reports (Part 6). The Act is terminated by Part 7, dedicated to the provisions concerning offences and penalties.
