Abstract
This Decree regulates fishing by foreign fishing vessels in the Exclusive Economic Zone and the Continental Shelf of the Seychelles. The Decree is divided into 5 parts: Preliminary (I); Control over Fishing and Related Activities by Foreign Fishing Vessels (II); Powers of Authorized Officers (III); Offences and Legal Proceedings (IV); General Provisions (V).
Conditions which may be attached to the granting of a licence by the Minister are specified in article 5. Detained vessels may be released by the court against deposit of a satisfactory bond (art. 17). Regulation making powers of the Minister are listed in article 19.
