Abstract
This Act places restrictions on the slaughtering of cows, heifers and heifer calves and provides for some other matters relative to slaughtering of cattle.
The Act prohibits the slaughtering or causing to be slaughtered of any cattle unless a written permit authorizing slaughtering has been issued by the prescribed authority. The Act further prescribes offences and penalties and grants regulation-making powers to the Minister for the carrying out the objects and provisions of this Act and to regulate matters specified in this Act.
