Customs Management (Importation of Goods through Post or Courier) (Amendment) Regulations, 2024 (S.I. 40 of 2024).

These Regulations amend the Customs Management (Importation of Goods through Post or Courier) Regulations, 2019 (S.I. 82 of 2019). Regulation 3 is amended by inserting sub-regulations (3) and (4) after sub-regulation (2). It exempts import of certain goods, imported for commercial use, from customs declaration. A new Regulation 5 is inserted, which requires that a person importing through post or courier, goods specified in second schedule of Customs Management (Prohibited and Restricted Goods) Regulations, 2023, must obtain prior approval in writing from the Authority mentioned in the said schedule.
