Abstract
These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 270, read with section 63 of the Customs Management Act, 2011. As per Regulation 3, the goods specified in the First Schedule are prohibited goods and shall not be imported into Seychelles. These include controlled drugs, toxic chemicals, waste and waste products including waste pharmaceuticals, certain animal parts, and plastic straws. Regulation 4 states that the goods specified under the Second Schedule are restricted goods, and would require prior approval of the Authority mentioned therein before importing them. Restricted goods include live animals, meat and meat products, animals and animal by-products, plant and plant products, fruits, vegetables and spices, wood, fertilisers, endangered species, certain plastic items, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, certain pharmaceutical and veterinary products, ships and vessels, and radioactive substances.
