Abstract
These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 80 read with section 74(2) of the Environment Protection Act, 2016 (Act). Regulation 3 allows any person aggrieved by a decision made under the Act to file an appeal with the Appeals Board. Regulation 4 lays down the form and procedure to file an appeal. Regulation 5 requires the Appeals Board to appoint a Secretary for performing the tasks mentioned therein. The Regulations further make provisions in respect of commencement of appeal proceedings, hearing before the Appeals Board, evidence, submissions, quorum and decision of the Appeals Board.
