Environment Protection (Environmental Laboratories) Regulations, 2023 (S.I. 28 of 2023).

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 64 of the Environment Protection Act, 2016 (Act). The environmental laboratories specified in the schedule are recognized as environmental laboratories under the Act. The functions of the environmental laboratories include application of standardisation methods for sampling and analysis of various types of effluents and pollutants, the analysis of samples sent by the authorised officer under the Act and for carrying out such other functions as may be entrusted by the Minister responsible for the environment.
