Abstract
These Regulations concern authorization of fisheries and fisheries management and conservation measures in Seychelles waters. The Regulations are divided into four Parts: Preliminary (I); Fishing Vessel (II); Large Nets (III); Fisheries Management IV). Part II regulates licences and specifies the conditions for the granting of licences. Local fishing vessels not exceeding seven meters are exempted from the requirement of a licence (sect. 3). Sections 5 to 9 deal with foreign fishing vessels and fishing agreements. Part III restricts fishing of specified protected species. Part IV makes provision for the use of gear, protected areas, bycatch, aquaculture concession.
