Licences (Trade) Regulations, 2012 (S.I. 23 of 2012).

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Licences Act, 2010. An application for a licence to trade shall be in the form prescribed by the Authority. The licence shall be for an importer, wholesaler, retailer, a hirer of hirecraft or water sports equipment. The procedure for granting licence and the conditions of licence are laid down. The fees to be paid along with the application for licence is provided in the schedule to the regulations. A licence to trade shall be valid for a period of 1 year, 3 years or 5 years, as applicable, unless revoked by the Authority.
