Abstract
This Penal Code, divided into 41 Chapters, concerns general provisions, criminal responsibility, punishments and crimes applicable in the Seychelles. Crimes of significant interest include: official corruption; prohibition of consumption of alcoholic liquor; negligent spreading of disease; adulteration of food and sale of adulterated food; adulteration of drugs and sale of adulterated drugs; fouling water and air; lighting fire; offences relating to property; killing animal with intent to steal; criminal trespass; unlawful possession; offences causing injury to property, including: arson and attempted arson, setting fire to crops, injuring animals, spreading infectious diseases among animals.
