Abstract
These Regulations prohibit the transportation or removal of or attempt to transport or remove coconut wood from any island of Seychelles declared to be infected with the pest Melitoma Insulare to any other island of Seychelles. Any officer of the Agricultural Department may seize illegally transported coconut wood and dispose of it in such manner as directed by the Chief Agricultural Officer. The Chief Agricultural Officer may issue a permit for the transportation or removal of samples of coconut wood required for scientific purposes.

Reprinted version of 1991 of S.I. No. 151 of 1952.Notwithstanding the repeal of the Plant Pest Act a statutory instrument made under that Act which is in force at the commencement of this Act shall, so far as the statutory instrument is not inconsistent with this Act, continue in force until it is amended or repealed by a statutory instrument made under this Act.
