Abstract
These Regulations provide rules for operation of public markets in Seychelles. They regulate the sale of fresh or frozen food and require a licence to be obtained for the sale of commodities. The Regulations require meat, fish or turtle only to be sold in certain places and commodities brought for sale to the market shall be exposed for sale in assigned places. Certain fish species shall not be admitted to the market. No meat, fish or other foodstuff shall be sold or exposed for sale which, in the opinion of the market keeper, is unfit for human consumption or is adulterated or tainted. Slaughter of animals on the market shall be prohibited.
