Seychelles Human Rights Commission Act, 2018. (Act 7 of 2018).

This Act, made of five Parts, establishes the Seychelles Human Rights Commission and provides for its composition, powers, functions and creates a means by which it can engage in mediation, conciliation and negotiations; it also enables it to investigate, detect and make recommendations to the government.
After a first Part providing for the interpretation of the Act, the second Part describes the establishment of the Commission, its juridical nature, its composition, powers and functions as well as the relevant procedural matters. Its independence and impartiality also also described here.
The third Part, concerns the funding of the Commission, its accounts and audits, the annual report to be submitted to the Minister Responsible for the Legal Affairs.
The fourth Part covers the offences and penalties foreseen under the Act, while the last Part is about administrative (staff issues, application of provisions of the Penal Code, protection of actions taken in good faith) and miscellaneous provisions.
