Abstract
These Regulations introduce measures for the protection of turtles, i.e. any turtle which may be found, from time to time, in the territorial waters of Seychelles. Catching or killing of turtles or removing eggs from a nest shall be prohibited as well as possession, purchase or sale or parts of a turtle. Persons possessing a turtle shell at the time of commencement of these Regulations shall apply for a permit and the Department of Environment which shall keep a register of permit holders.
