Abstract
These Regulations provide for the protection of birds protected under regulation 3 of the Wild Birds Protection Regulations in areas declared under these Regulations as nature reserves and listed in the Schedule to these Regulations. The President may appoint wardens for nature reserves and direct such wardens to reside in a given nature reserve. No person shall in a nature reserve disturb, catch or kill any protected bird or take eggs of a protected bird. Owners of areas which are a nature reserve shall protect bird life and take such measures for the protection of bird life as the Chief Agricultural Officer may direct.

Consolidated version of 2003 of S.I. No. 27 of 1966 as amended by S.I. No. 72 of 1976.These Regulations shall not affect any provision of the Birds’ Eggs Act or any Regulations made under that Act.
