Interpretation of Laws and General Provisions Act, 2003.

This Act consisting of 58 articles aims at (i) establishing rules to be applied to the interpretation of every Law and general provisions in force in Sudan; (ii) providing the interpretation of a number of terms of common use present in the laws of Sudan. As for General Provisions, it concerns written laws and regards (i) commencement of acts; (ii) the coming into operation; (iii) repeal, amendment, and expiry; (iv) subsidiary legislation; (v) general provisions regarding powers, duties, and appointments; (vi) general provisions regarding legal proceedings and penalties.
