Abstract
The aim of this Law is to protect the public health by laying down requirements and rules for the distribution and sale of food. Responsible body is the Ministry of Health. This Law is composed of 15 articles. Articles 1 and 2 deal with terms and definitions. Articles 3-5 prohibit the distribution and handling of deceived, adulterated, putrid or harmful food. Articles 6 and 7 define requirements and conditions for exported, canned and packed food. Article 8 pertains to the control and inspection on food. Articles 9-12 decree the establishment of the Consultative Committee for Food Control and specify the competencies, duties, resolutions and management of the Committee. Article 13 concerns with the confiscation of food. Articles 14 and 15 contain general provisions.
