Act (2021:787) on climate statement for buildings.

The purpose of the present Act is to reduce the climate impact when buildings are constructed. The building contractor shall be responsible for elaborating a climate statement when a new building is constructed. Barns and production premises for agriculture, forestry and similar industries are exempted from this Act. The information on the climate impacts of the building shall include: 1) supply of raw materials in the product phase; 2) transport in the product phase; 3) manufacturing in the product phase; 4) transport during the construction phase; and 5) the construction and installation process in the construction phase. Statements shall be registered by the registration authority.
