Act (2023:730) on class actions for the protection of collective consumer interests.

This Act applies to class actions for the protection of collective consumer interests in courts or administrative authorities concerning violations of: 1) Provisions in regulations covered by Directive (EU) 2020/1828 on representative actions for the protection of the collective interests of consumers and repealing Directive 2009/22/EC, and provisions that complement these; and 2) Provisions implementing directives covered by Directive (EU) 2020/1828, as amended by European Parliament and Council Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 of October 19, 2022. The Act also applies to the approval of entities to initiate such class actions. The Act contains detailed rules on the approval of entities authorized to initiate class actions, class actions for incjunctions, class actions for remedial measure, among other matters.
