Decree (2022:1395) on state grants to municipalities for preventive measures against natural disasters.

This Decree contains provisions on state grants to municipalities for costs related to preventive measures against natural disasters. Preventive measures refer to physical actions taken in advance to prevent or reduce the risk of natural disasters, and natural disasters refer to accidents caused by natural events such as floods, landslides, avalanches, or erosion. Government grants provided under this Decree should aim to: 1) Protect human life and health, and prevent damage to property and the environment; 2) Maintain essential societal functions; or 3) Adapt society to the effects of a changing climate. The Decree contains detailed rules on the conditions for grants, application for grants, review and decision on grants, final report requirements, follow-up, among other matters.
