Decree (2022:1826) on the EU's Common Agricultural Policy.

This Decree supplements the EU legislation specified in Section 2 concerning the EU's Common Agricultural Policy. Support under this Decree may be provided for actions that fall within the general objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy as outlined in Article 5 of Regulation (EU) 2021/2115. The supports aim to promote sustainable development in agriculture, food, and rural areas, and contribute to achieving the following general objectives in the economic, environmental, and social domains for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: 1) Promoting a smart, competitive, resilient, and diversified agricultural sector that ensures long-term food security; 2) Supporting and enhancing environmental protection, including biodiversity, and climate actions, and contributing to the achievement of the Union's environmental and climate-related goals, including its commitments under the Paris Agreement, and; 3) Improving the socio-economic structure of rural areas. The Decree outlines the specific rules, guidelines, and procedures that must be followed in Sweden to comply with the EU's CAP framework and aims to ensure that Swedish agricultural practices align with the broader goals and standards set by the EU.
