Decree relative to the EU ecolabel (SFS 2013:850).

The Ordinance establishes an authorized body (Ecolabelling Sweden Company Limited) responsible for the selection of applications for the award of the EU Ecolabel and conditions for using it. The Consumer Agency may issue regulations concerning the criteria according to the European Commission approved measures which must be met when products are labelled with EU Ecolabel. The Company also implements Administrative Procedure Act (1986:223) for matters concerning conflicts (articles 11-12), right of obtaining information (art. 16-17) although not preventing Ecolabelling Sweden Limited from confidentiality agreements with other parties, justifications of the Company’s decisions (art. 20) and their notification (art. 21).
