Abstract
This law addresses compensation for damages caused by activities on properties, covering personal injury, property damage, and significant pure financial loss if not crime-related. Compensation is provided for damages from pollution of watercourses, lakes or other water areas, pollution of groundwater, change in the groundwater level, air pollution, soil pollution, noise, and other disturbances. Municipal councils or governmental authorities may impose further conditions to mitigate environmental impact. Compensation can also be requested for future property damage, and in severe cases, properties rendered unusable by such activities may be redeemed.
