Abstract
This law governs activities that could cause environmental harm, such as the discharge of waste or pollution from land, buildings, or facilities into water or the surrounding environment, as well as other disturbances like noise or air pollution. The law defines wastewater to include liquid impurities, cooling water, and diverted water for dewatering purposes, and sets regulations for environmentally hazardous activities to minimize impact through location selection, protective measures, and adherence to area regulations. Permits for such activities must align with detailed plans, and applicants must consult relevant stakeholders. The text further provides for environmental protection fee, and environmental damage insurance. The law consists of 69 Articles.
