Regulation (2015: 45) on the application for and handling of support for rural development measures

This Regulation concerns state aid in the form of grants may be given for measures that contribute to the fulfilment of the Union priorities set out in Article 5 (i) Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council. The Union priorities are to 1. promote knowledge transfer and innovation in agriculture and forestry and in rural areas; 2. improve the viability of agricultural holdings and the competitiveness of all types of farming in all regions and promote innovative agricultural technologies and sustainable forestry; 3. promote the organization of the food chain, including processing and marketing of agricultural products, animal welfare and risk management in agriculture; 4. restore, conserve and improve ecosystems related to agriculture and forestry; 5. Promote resource efficiency and support the transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy in the agricultural, food and forestry sectors, and 6. Promote social inclusion, poverty reduction and rural economic development. The State Agricultural Agency shall, after having heard opinions of other specified public bodies, issue rules regarding application procedures.
