Abstract
The present Regulation, issued by the Swedish Food Agency, refers to measures aimed at preventing and remedy harmful effects as a result of sabotage or other damages that may affect que quality of drinking water. It applies to to waterworks and distribution facilities that produce or supply drinking water to more than 2000 people, and over which a municipality exercises legal control as referred to in Article 2 of Act relative to public water services (2006:412). Anyone who produces drinking water shall take the necessary measures to ensure that unauthorized persons cannot access waterworks. In addition, anyone who produces drinking water or provides drinking water from a distribution facility must elaborate an action plan on how to detect and remedy the harmful effects of sabotage and other damage to waterworks and distribution facilities.
