Abstract
The present Regulation, issued by the Swedish National Food Agency, contains rules on extractants/solvents used or intended for use in the manufacture of food or food ingredients. The rules do not apply to solvent agents used in the production of food additives, vitamins and other nutrients, unless specified in the Annex. Only substances specified in the Annex may be used as solvents/extractants in the manufacturing of food and food ingredients. Specific labelling requirements are also included in the Regulation.
