Abstract
This Regulation regulates grants from state funds provided for measures to prevent damages caused by wildlife and to compensate for damages caused by wildlife. The Regulation contains specific rules for prevention and compensation of damages of losses suffered by Sami people's reindeers, as well as damages caused by wildlife to things other than reindeer, fish, and fishing equipment. Support may be provided to compensate for damages caused by wildlife to things other than reindeer, fish, and fishing equipment, if it is clearly unreasonable for the injured party to bear the costs resulting from the damage themselves. The County Administrative Board may, upon application, provide compensation if a person has been killed or injured by a bear, if it is clearly unreasonable for the injured party to bear the costs resulting from the damage themselves.
