Abstract
This Regulation contains supplementary provisions to the Zoonosis Act. The Swedish Board of Agriculture shall lead and coordinate the preventive measures and control efforts according to the Zoonosis Act (1999:658). Compensation from state funds may be granted to those who, due to regulations or decisions made under the Zoonosis Act (1999:658), incur: 1) Costs or losses due to the culling of animals or the disposal of animals, animal products, waste, and other materials; 2) Costs due to disinfection beyond normal cleaning; 3) Costs for special measures related to slaughter; 4) Production losses; 5) Costs or losses in other cases if the Swedish Board of Agriculture finds that there are special reasons. The Swedish Board of Agriculture shall perform the tasks assigned to a competent authority according to the EU regulations that the Zoonosis Act (1999:658) complements.
