Abstract
This Act amends provisions established for the trade and shipment of animals and birds. In particular, amendments specify codes of animal welfare, issued or adopted with respect to the standards of care to be provided or observed in respect of any animal or class of animals, duty of care of animal owners, etc. In addition, amendments establish new offences and penalties for illegal activity.
