Abstract
These Rules prohibit the use of any premises as a pet shop or for any exhibition of animals and birds unless in accordance with a valid licence issued by the Director-General. Procedures and requirements for obtaining a licence are set out in the text.
The Rules further provide for: duties of licensees; powers of the Director-General to issue directives for the proper management of pet shops; offences and penalties; and licence fees.
