Abstract
These Regulations are enacted in accordance with the Carbon Pricing Act 2018.
The Order assigns the powers and functions of the Minister for Trade and Industry to the Economic Development Board (EDB) concerning sections 20D and 20E of the Carbon Pricing Act. This delegation allows the EDB to carry out or exercise functions related to the determination of allowances and the awarding of these allowances, regardless of whether the determination or award is made by the Board itself.
