Control of Plants (Import and Transhipment of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables) Rules.

These Rules prescribe the procedures, conditions or locations for the import or transhipment of any fresh fruit and vegetables.
The Director-General shall grant licences for the import or transhipment of fruit and vegetables as specified in the Rules.
The Rules further provide for: matters relating to the taking of samples of fresh fruits and vegetables for analysis; the inspection of consignments of fresh fruit and vegetables; the levels of any pesticide residue or toxic chemical residue in fresh fruit and vegetables; powers of authorized officers; penalties; licence fees; etc.
