Energy Conservation (Motor Vehicles Subject to Fuel Economy Requirements) Order 2012.

This Order is enacted in accordance with the Energy Conservation Act 2012, aiming to provide for the specifications for motor vehicles subject to fuel economy requirements.
Motor vehicles of the following description and not excluded by sub-paragraph (2) shall be subject to the fuel economy requirements in Division 1 of Part IV of the Act from 1st July 2012: (a) any motor vehicle which is constructed for the carriage of not more than 7 passengers (exclusive of the driver) and having an unladen weight not exceeding 3,000 kilograms; (b) any motor vehicle which is constructed for the carriage of goods and having a laden weight not exceeding 3,500 kilograms.
