Abstract
These Regulations are enacted in accordance with the Environmental Protection and Management Act.
The Order adds new substances to the list of controlled substances provided for in the Schedule to the Environmental Protection and Management (Hazardous Substances) Regulations. The substances added includ PFOA, PFHxS, benzidine, acetochlor, and amitrazine, etc. For controlled substances under the Environmental Protection and Management (Hazardous Substances) Regulations, requirements are imposed on activities such as the transportation and storage of hazardous substances, and there is a requirement for an emergency response plan in the event of an accident.
