Abstract
These Regulations are enacted in accordance with the Environmental Public Health Act.
Part 2 of the Regulations provides for the requirements as quality, purity and general appearance of water suitable for drinking. Part 3 sets up rules for sampling, testing and analysis of water suitable for drinking. A “water safety plan” mentioned in the Regulations means a plan describing the risk assessment and risk management measures that are or are to be used to minimise the likelihood of any water suitable for drinking being polluted or unwholesome. In order to provide any water suitable for drinking, the WSSP water provider must have in place a water safety plan prepared by the WSSP water provider, in accordance with the code of practice, and approved by the Director‑General.
