Abstract
This Act is divided into the following Parts: Preliminary (I); Establishment, Incorporation and Constitution of Board (II); Functions, Objects, duties and Powers of Board (III); Provisions Relating to Staff (IV); Financial Provisions (V); Transfer of Property, Assets Liabilities and Employees (VI); Miscellaneous (VII).
The Act provides for the establishment of the the Health Promotion Board. The principal task of the Board is to advise the government in matters of health policy. The Act defines the Board's internal organizations and its powers and functions, which includes encouraging and facilitating healthier food choices in Singapore.
