Abstract
This Act makes provisions for the registration and marking of ships and the certification of Singapore ships, provides for the ownership of ships and related matters, prohibits the pollution of water by ships and regulates navigation by ships in Singapore waters. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore shall appoint a Director of Marine and a Deputy Director of Marine. Provisions on offences and penalties, and legal proceedings are also included.
