Abstract
These Regulations establish provisions for the prevention of pollution of the sea in particular the discharge of oil or oil mixtures in Singapore waters.
Any ship to which these Regulations apply shall be subject to inspection by a surveyor of ships who may prohibit the ship from proceeding to sea unless in possession of an International Oil Pollution Prevention Certificate or a valid Singapore Oil Pollution Prevention Certificate. Penalties, fees and exemption in certain circumstances are provided for in the text.
