The Climate change and major projects plan is an official government overview of climate change requirements and guidance for major projects during the programmed period from the year 2014 until the year 2020, aimed at ensuring resilience to the adverse impacts of climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This text underlines that the climate change vulnerability and risk assessment are both processes of integrating climate change adaptation into an individual project with the aim of improving its resilience to the impacts of climate change. It includes identifying the climate change hazards to which the project is vulnerable, assessing the level of risk, and considering adaptation measures to reduce that risk to an acceptable level. Addressing the risks associated with climate change is included in the legal basis for major projects. Before starting the vulnerability and risk assessment, it is necessary to first prepare and plan the process, assess and define the context of the project, its boundaries and mutual influences, define the methodology for preparing the assessment, including the key parameters for the vulnerability and risk assessment, determine who all should be included, ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
