Cooperation strategy between the Republic of Slovenia and the autochthonous indigenous Slovenian national community in neighboring countries in the field of economy until 2020.

The Cooperation strategy between the Republic of Slovenia and the autochthonous Slovenian national community in neighboring countries in the field of economy until 2020 sets the objective to frame, coordinate and unify the already ongoing cooperation activities between the Republic of Slovenia and the autochthonous Slovenian national community in neighboring countries in the field of economy, and to stimulate new processes and connections that will help deepen economic cooperation between entities in the Republic of Slovenia and in the border areas of neighboring countries. The strategy represents an instrument of constant control over the implementation of the adopted policies and will also contribute to the realization of the goals of economic, social and territorial cohesion set by the Treaty of Lisbon (2007) and the goals prescribed by the Europe 2020 Strategy and the Development Strategy of the Republic of Slovenia until 2020. The long-term goal of the strategy is an active and continuous exchange of economic contacts of all forms in the Republic of Slovenia and in the areas where the indigenous Slovenian national community lives and works in Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia. The purpose of this permanent exchange is to strengthen cooperation with economic entities of the majority nation in the countries where the Slovenian national community lives, with the help of economic entities of minorities. Such strengthened contacts will contribute to the integration and development of the border area and the economic success of the countries.
