Abstract
This Decree, based on the provisions of the Slovenian Agriculture Act, determines the implementation of the animal welfare measures in 2021 (obligations deriving from the Rural Development Programme of the Republic of Slovenia for the period 2014–2020). These measures are implemented within the framework of three operations, namely for: pigs, bovine animals (cattle) and small ruminants. The purpose of this text is to provide measure aimed to encourage agricultural holdings to meet animal welfare requirements that go beyond the management requirements set out in the regulation governing cross-compliance and the normal breeding practices. This Decree determines the competent authorities, the purpose of support, the beneficiaries, the conditions for the allocation of funds, the conditions for the disbursement of funds and the financial provisions for the implementation of several European Union (listed in article 2). The Annex is part of this publication (1-6, containing release log/schedule; catalog of payment reductions and exclusions; grazing log for 2021; ecologically important areas; shorter vegetation area; force majeure or exceptional circumstances in the case of animal welfare measures and needs).
