Decree on the concession for public advisory service for fisheries.

This Decree determines the form and method of public service performance, public service tasks, conditions for public service performance, method of selection of the public service provider (concessionaire), obligations of the concessionaire, method of reporting and record keeping, and supervision of public service tasks and their financing, all related to concessions for public advisory service for fisheries. The public service shall be carried out in the area of the municipalities of Ankaran, Izola, Koper and Piran (coastal areas). The subject of the concession is the tasks of the public service, which include: consulting in connection with the technological, economic and environmental protection of fishing activities; consulting and assistance in the preparation and enforcement of national and common fisheries policy measures of the European Union; consulting and assistance in connecting fishermen and establishing and operating producer organizations in fisheries; consulting in the field of fisheries and fisheries-related regulations, especially within the framework of the common fisheries policy of the European Union and various international organizations; cooperation and representation of fishermen in international organizations; connecting the fishing sector with other institutions in the field of fishing, especially from the point of view of transferring the knowledge and experience of scientific, research and educational institutions into practice; informing fishermen about the adoption of national and European regulations in the field of fishing and measures of the national and common fishing policy; and other tasks in the field of fishing.
