Decree on the implementation of the intervention to the consortium of knowledge institutions in support of the transition of agriculture to green, digital and climate neutral from the strategic plan of the common agricultural policy 2023-2027.

This Decree governs the implementation of the intervention to the consortium of knowledge institutions in support of the transition of agriculture to green, digital and climate neutral from Article 77 of Regulation (EU) 2021/2115 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 2 December 2021 on establishing rules on support for strategic plans drawn up by member states within the framework of the common agricultural policy (CAP strategic plans) and financed by the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD). The purpose of the intervention is to connect knowledge institutions that operate within the framework of the AKIS system, and by investing in the establishment or upgrading of trial-demonstration infrastructure, to strengthen their joint capacities for more efficient development, exchange, transfer and use of knowledge and innovations in support of the transition to green, resilient, digital and climate-neutral agriculture and to ensure successful transfer and exchange of knowledge to end-users of knowledge, especially farmers. The goals of the intervention are: to connect knowledge institutions within the AKIS system, with investments, establish or upgrade a trial and demonstration infrastructure for the development, transfer, exchange and use of knowledge that is shared by all members of the consortium; to develop knowledge with an emphasis on the needs of farmers; and to accelerate the exchange and transfer of this knowledge to farmers and other stakeholders in the AKIS system.
