Abstract
This Decree here implements the fourth indent of Article 10 of the Regulation (EU) No. 525/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council on a mechanism for monitoring and reporting greenhouse gas emissions and for reporting other information at national and Union level relevant to climate change and repealing Decision No. 280/2004/EC, last amended by Regulation (EU) No. 662/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 May 2014 amending Regulation (EU) no. 525/2013 regarding the technical implementation of the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The purpose is to provide for the transfer of the surplus of allocated quantities that the Republic of Slovenia obtained as party to the Kyoto Protocol for the first period of the Kyoto Protocol. A surplus of 1,248,230 units of allocated quantities is carried over from the first to the second period of the Kyoto Protocol. The transfer of the surplus allocated amounts from the previous article is carried out by the national administrator of the Union Registry, i.e. the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia.
