Decree on knowledge transfer and consultancy measures from the Rural Development Program of the Republic of Slovenia for the period 2014-2020.

This Decree governs the implementation of the measure denominated as Transfer of knowledge and information activities and the measure of the Advisory Service, the Service for Assistance in Farm Management and the Service for Ensuring Substitution on Farms from the program governing the development of rural areas of the Republic of Slovenia for the planned period from the year 2014 until the year 2020. Within measure 1 – Knowledge transfer and information activities, the following sub-measures are implemented: sub-measure 1.1-Support for vocational training and skills acquisition; and sub-measure 1.2-Support for demonstration activities and information activities. The purpose of measure 1 – Transfer of knowledge and information activities is to increase the level of competence of persons active in the agricultural and forestry sector. Sub-measure 1.2 is intended for the implementation of demonstration projects, which are intended for the practical demonstration of the use of technologies, mechanization, procedures, machines, practices and other contents of demonstration projects in the agricultural and forestry sector and in the processing and marketing of agricultural products, including those that contribute to preservation and improvement of the state of the environment, including adaptation and mitigation of climate change. The subject of the sub-measure is also activities for the dissemination of information, with the aim of familiarizing the participants with knowledge important for their work. These activities may take the form of exhibitions, professional meetings, presentations or information in printed or electronic media, whereby the materials or actions may not include the promotion of individual products that would be used during the implementation of this sub-measure. Beneficiaries of sub-measure 1.2 are entities that, in accordance with the law governing public procurement, are selected to implement demonstration projects. As part of measure 2-Advisory services, farm management assistance services and farm replacement services, sub-measure 2.1 – Support for assistance in the use of advisory services is also here implemented. The purpose of sub-measure 2.1 is to improve the economic and environmental efficiency, the resilience of farms and the transfer of knowledge in the areas of animal welfare, agro-environmental climate payments and organic farming.
